ATTENTION:
These are "vintage-crop" beans, meaning they've been sitting for a few years and have lost some moisture and the flavor has gone somewhat flat. They still make a great tasting coffee when roasted on the darker side, especially with a little cream and sugar, but let's be honest, they simply don't measure up to that of fresh-harvested coffee, and that's why the price is so low.
We acquired a coffee roasting business recently and there were a lot of green beans included in the deal. Again, they're from a past crop (I'm not sure of the time of harvest, but I was told that they're several years old.)
I've roasted and sold a lot of these beans locally and gotten great feedback from coffee consumers. Experienced coffee-roasters and connoisseurs will be able to discern the difference, but I've personally find them pleasant to drink, and
I've enjoyed them most when roasted darker.
I'd recommend them for blending with other beans or enjoying them as espresso.
You won't find a better price for what you're getting here, and our limited supply won't last for long. If you're new to coffee roasting and looking for some affordable beans to hone your skills with, this would be a great way.
