Large-format fold-out 1955 Cities Service road map of New York City, printed more than 63 years ago.
The map opens to a generous 18" x 38" and has great detail on old street and highway alignments, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
The coverage area includes Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.
On the reverse side there's an inset plan showing toll bridges, highways, and tunnels on routes to and through Manhattan.
The map was published in 1955 and is dated by the code in the lower margin: 12-CC.
