Handsome 1957 Cities Service fold-out road map of New York, printed more than 58 years ago
This map opens to 18" x 30½" and has great detail on old highway alignments in the Empire State, with cartography by H.M. Gousha. There are inset plans of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany.
A large inset map of Long Island shows ferries to Fire Island and labels the Long Island Expressway as "proposed."
The map was distributed by Cities Service in 1957 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 8-EE. Dozens of little trefoil symbols locate Cities Service gas stations throughout the state.
