Handsome 1960 Cities Service fold-out road map of New York, printed more than 58 years ago.
This map opens to 18" x 30½" and has great detail on old highway alignments in the Empire State, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
There are inset plans of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany.
A large inset map of Long Island shows ferries to Fire Island and construction in progress on the Long Island Expressway. .
The map was distributed by Cities Service in 1960, on the company's 50th anniversary.
It is dated in the legend, and the code number in the lower margin is 8-HH. Dozens of little trefoil symbols locate Cities Service gas stations throughout the state.
