Handsome 1962 Cities Service fold-out road map of New York, printed more than 56 years ago.
This map opens to 18" x 30½" and has great detail on old highway alignments in the Empire State, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
There are inset plans of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany.
A large inset map of Long Island shows ferries to Fire Island and Bridgeport, Connecticut. The Long Island Expressway is shown as "proposed," east of Sunken Meadow State Parkway.
The map was distributed by Cities Service in 1962 and is dated in the legend. There's a Cities Service credit card ad on the back cover.
Condition:
This map is in very good condition, with some faint spotting on the front cover and
no
