Large-format fold-out Cities Service road map of the New York City metropolitan area and the 1964 World's Fair, printed more than 56 years ago.
This map opens to a generous 27" x 35" and has great detail on old street and highway alignments, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
There are inset plans of lower Manhattan and automobile routes to the New York World's Fair, as well as a plan of the fairgrounds, and a map of the New York City transit system shows subway lines and stations.
This map was published by Cities Service in 1964 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 8-LL.
Condition:
This map is in very good condition, bright and clean, with
no
rips or tears. A previous owner has circled a location on the map north of Perth Amboy. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
