    COFFEE ORIGIN INFORMATION:
Coffee came to Costa Rica in the last decade of the eighteenth century. Over the many years, coffee expanded over the highlands of the Central Valley. The development and trading of coffee deeply influenced the cultural and socioeconomic landscape of the country.  Myriad coffee plant varieties, rich soils, high altitudes, and unique growing regions contribute to a popular and sought-after coffee cup profile. The interplay of these factors has allowed the country to achieve the reputation of producing some of the best coffee in Central America.
Costa Rican El Poeta is sourced from family-owned farms located near San Rafael de San Ramón within the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. Producers collaborate with an export company called Café de Altura de San Ramón Especial S.A. to gain access to technical support for best agricultural practices. The partnership
has helped to improve quality, increase earnings from coffee sales, and strengthen family livelihoods.
Cupping Notes are gathered by using the cupping method to get a general idea of what natural flavor notes a coffee contains. Flavor profile will vary between different brewing methods and roast profiles.
For Best Results it might be necessary for the coffee to degas 24 - 48 Hours when it arrives at your location to release trapped gases from within the beans which is a result from the roasting process.
