This Robusta is a clean and rich cup, it is very full flavored.
A little earthy to be drinking it by itself but it will add a lot of character and caffeine to your favorite blend.
India Cherry Robusta is grown on the eastern side of the Western Ghats mountain range. The range was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most biologically diverse areas of the world. The area is home to more than 5,000 species of flowering plants and 500 species of birds. Many of the farms in the area have been operating for nearly a hundred years, and have been passed down from one generation to another. The farms we source from are located in the Sakleshpu and Coorg districts in Karnataka, India.
Robusta coffee from India is notable for several reasons. The production of Robusta in India is almost double that of Arabica, and while Robusta is generally considered the poor relation of the former, in India the same care applied to the cultivation, harvest and processing of Arabica coffee is applied to Robusta. Both natural/dry-processed Robusta and Arabica coffees in India are known as Cherry (not to be confused with the cherry fruit on the coffee tree).
These beans are perfect for creating your own espresso blend or for coffee enthusiasts looking for a strong Cup of Coffee with a Kick of caffeine, but one that's easy to digest (low in acidity). The caffeine in Robusta is double that of Arabica and that means double the antioxidant, health benefits of caffeine goodness as well.
