  • Condition: Very good/Excellent -- all intact. These are lead and figure with red hat's sword was bent for storage and can be slowly and carefully straightened as it's fairly soft lead.

    Description

    I bought these because of the interesting poses and subjects.  I'm not sure they all represent the Middle Ages.  There is an obvious slinger and an obvious fighter who holds an axe and they have similar clothing so are apparently fellow combatants.  One in the red stocking cap may be a Swede whose army wore that style red hat in the 17th Century and named it a "Karpuser" although the rest of the dress isn't consistent between the two uniforms.  I don't know what companies manufactured the figures here, but they appear to have been either produced as painted items or else painted by very able painters.  Please see the photos as best evidence of condition.  Some of these may be made of lead and so wouldn't be suitable for children.
