Antique Burmese/Thai Red and Black Lacquered Wood Temple Offering Vessel, Bowl

Antique Burmese/ Thai lacquered wood temple offering vessel, 28" high.
Buddhist temple form.
Total height is 28", base is 13" high and top portion is 15."
The base diameter is13" and bowl opening is 12 ½ " diameter.
Most of the piece is heavily decorated with writing and diagrams, probably prayers?  Extremely unusual for these. Unfortunately I don't know what the writing means or signifies.
The piece is very old and distressed and is being sold AS IS.  Please be aware that its badly in need of conservation and repair. Bits of lacquer have fallen off in several places, noticeable in photos.  The top piece has been glued on (poorly).
I've had this for years and have loved its imperfect appearance.  But if you don't, this is not for you. I assume it can be repaired but it may be quite costly.
