Keris panjang also known as keris penyalang a.k.a "executioner keris" since keris panjang usually held by Malay aristocrat that had  execution authority.

Sturdy straight blade on un-cleaned condition.
Hilt carved from horn (supposed buffalo) , decorated very intricate floral carving, locally known as Hulu Tapak Kuda ( literally translate as horse hoof hilt ). A silver pendokok banded the hilt base.
Wooden scabbard with crescent moon shaped
wrongko
which carved from kemuning wood, showing reddish beautiful wood grain. This particular keris panjang supposed from Palembang Malay tribe - southern sumatra area due to it`s silver mounting dress "
pendok
" that decorated with typical Palembangan floral motif. See pics for more details.
