Antique Victorian 1800’s Family Portrait Photo framed gorgeous woodwork decorated rare.
Photo is 16” w x 19” (possibly 20”)
Frame is 30” ht x 26” w
frame is approx 5” wide and has multi layers of solid oak wood and a thick boarder of gesso gold painted plaster also in excellent condition.
There is matting.
Everything is tight for the most part. It is not falling apart in any way.
There is a nail here or there in the back you can see in the photo in which it was enforced as well as the 4 bracing brackets.
Would require the buyer to know what they are buying, to be familiar with the type of frame, style, era as demonstrated in the supplied photos of this item for sale. Study all photos and apply your familiar knowledge because I am no expert when it comes to this type of item and am selling this quality antique frame and photograph which is in excellent condition, in as is condition. I am not qualified to say weather indeed sepia, however,
I opened up the back to find that the photo is a firm card board type board not just a piece of flimsy paper.
There is no chips or cracks to the glass or to the photo or that I can see on the frame.
There will be signs of age and some imperfections from it being from the 1800s. Nothing significant.
