ca.1930's COCKTAIL / DRINK RECIPES Brochure GAY YESTERDAYS by Shasta Water Co.

Description

For bid is an original circa 1930's cocktail mixer recipes booklet titled, "FROM OUR GAY YESTERDAYS" with advertising for the Shasta Water Company (cocktail mixer) headquarted in Sacramento, California.  Company had been around since 1889.  This is an eight-panel foldout brochure with glossary of alcoholic drink terms and directions for mixing old-time cocktails and mixed alcoholic drinks:  Fizz Family, gin drinks, Whiskey drinks, "Oddities of an Earlier Day," The Cocktail, Girl Drinks, etc.  The last panel of the brochure has advertising for Shasta Water Company "Good Mixers."   Shasta Water Co. was located on R Street in Sacramento at that time with other branches in San Francisco, Oakland, Shasta Springs, Los Angeles and even Beverly Hills in California.
Brochure is not dated and some of the language even indicates it may have been printed before Prohibition ended!!
