    Interesting collection of correspondence of Henry P Jackson, Company B, 5th NY Volunteers-lieutenant
    Civil War veteran Jackson was seeking  pension/compensation for his service in the war
    9 items
    1) Form from paymaster D.R. Larned  1889 form stating that Jackson is owed 207.52 less deductions
    2) Treasury Dept. Letterhead 1889  detailed accounting
    3) Bureau of Records of the War of the Rebellion letterhead,  acknowledges receipt of letter from Jackson requesting record of service
    4) Dept. of the Interior letterhead 1890  "Inclosed herewith is a Certificate, no. ..., for Inc (incomplete) pension, ...
    5) Cover with "The Commissioner of Pensions" corner mark signed by Jackson - On the reverse is a written record of Jackson's service from the time he was mustered in as a private in 1862 to the time he resigned in 1865
    6) It looks like Jackson still hadn't received all of his pension and there are
    three letters
    talking about problems getting what is owed and that there are fraudsters who never served getting money etc. 1899-1900
