Description
This professionally framed two-note item depicts King Sisvang Vong (1885-1959) near left side of the notes with Tricephalic Elephant Arms at upper center, chalice at center, and dragon at right. The reverse depicts a Lao woman with a bowl of roses, multicolored. Any notes issued during the time of the Kingdom of Laos were deemed obsolete in 1975 with the introduction of the Pathet Lao banknotes. My notes were circulated, but I bought these notes in 1975 at the bank just before I was evacuated from Vientiane and had them framed. They have been in storage in Monterey, California, where the climate is very mild- no extreme heat. PMG 69 EPQ. No pin holes, no tears. KM 6a. These notes would make a beautiful wall hanging.
