    About the Farm
The Cooperativa Cafe Timor (CCT) works with very small farms in East Timor. The CCT was established in 1994 with the help of the USDA and NCBA. In 2001, the cooperative obtained Fair Trade certification. The farms are located in Maubesse, Atsabe, Ermera, Lequisa, and Aifu.
The coffee from East Timor was originally planted over 400 years ago by Portuguese colonists. However, after an epidemic of coffee leaf rust, the replanting of plants occurred and led to the creation of a new coffee varietal of Hibrido de Timor.
    SOURCING
Our approach to the Fresh Roasted Coffee process begins at the source. We procure our coffees with the utmost care and integrity, seeking to find high quality specialty coffees that help reinforce our core value of sustainability, while also supporting regions all over the world that are actively working to enhance their own livelihoods and the specialty coffee industry.
    ROASTING
Fresh Roasted Coffee roasts the freshest coffee beans using the most advanced technology on Earth. We have eliminated much of our carbon emissions in a smokeless coffee roasting environment. Our Loring Smart Roasters use cutting-edge roasting technology to not only eliminate carbon emissions, but also enhance overall coffee bean flavor, quality and roasting precision. Loring roasters are proudly made in the USA.
    PACKAGING
Our coffee beans are roasted fresh and immediately packaged. We want our customers to experience fresh coffee at its peak drinkability. In order to keep our coffee as fresh as possible for as long as possible, our bags are resealable and feature a one-way valve to squeeze out unwanted air. Our single-serve coffee pods are filled using nitrogen insufflation to avoid exposing the freshly ground coffee to flavor-stealing oxygen.
    LOVING
The Fresh Roasted Coffee process reaches completion when you truly taste a coffee's nothing extra. We’re passionate about our work and are dedicated to providing our customers with high quality coffee. We’re also committed to the next generation of coffee drinkers. We proudly roast coffees with Direct Trade, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, and USDA Organic certifications.
