Up for auction is this original Imrie Risley # 6022 metal model 54mm soldier kit depicting a Revolutionary War artillery soldier in tricorn hat manhandling gun. Dating to around 1965, I/R miniatures was one of the first US manufacturers of high quality 54 mm white metal model soldier kits made in centrifugal casting machines. This company continued to introduce new figures up until sculptor Bill Imrie passed away around 13 years ago. Efforts to continue production of the existing line moved forward but ceased a few years ago. The last price list (2013) showed standard I/R foot figure kits unpainted at plus shipping.
