    Description

The purple Laos 50 Kip Banknote was issued by the Pathet Lao Government in 1968. Its obverse depicts workers with a lathe and drill press in a machine shop in a cave. The reverse features farmers plowing a rice paddy with water buffalos. Also on the reverse is the Wat That Luang stupa in Vientiane. The banknote contains watermark varieties but does not have a security thread. It measures 144 x 72 mm and is in uncirculated condition.
