Old traditional wedding gift square small storage box
waxed handmade basket with old trade glass beads in five different colors firmly attached to the cover, while the bottom part is decorated with a bamboo strip covered with red cotton textile, blue trade glass beads and European buttons. All the strings, threads, beads, textiles and buttons on this piece are old and original to the box. Nice patina all over, the beaded cover is in good condition, the bottom part has damages in two corners, see photos.  Lampung, South Sumatra, Indonesia, 1940's approx.
