Description

A heavy 19th century Philippine Mindanao Kris (also called a Sundang) from the Sulu Archipelago of the Tausug tribe, double edged 20½ inch wavy pattern welded forged blade with a central ridge and with some silver and brass inlaid both sides  and 2 copper stirrups, the hilt completely covered with 2 colour woven cord with a white metal cap, the original wooden scabbard secured with 5 metal strips and a protruding wooden hook for securing in a waist band. Overall 25½ inches.
