Sawankhalok
, Thai art
crafted
during the fifteenth century
.
These pieces are part of a massive collection of ancient art that was assembled in the 1990s.
The entire collection is being
dissolved
and consigned to several
prestigious
auction
houses. Whereas these pieces were purchased as
authentic,
some doubt has been cast on their actual age; possibly unknown
variants
or vintage
facsimiles
. I am selling these pieces as vintage
museum
quality reproductions; excellent
display pieces, artist's study models, or movie props.
The white and brown double duck pot stands approximately 3" tall / 3.5" long
| weight is approximately 8 ounces | Great glaze and texture, no signs of repair, minor cosmetic scuffing.
The brown extended neck bird stands approximately 2" tall / 5" long
| weight is approximately 7.5 ounces | Poor condition, repaired with multiple stress cracking, broken suspension prongs, and cosmetic scuffing. A very tiny hole appears on the bottom of the rim revealing a bright with core.
