4 Vietnamese Hoi An Hoard Pottery Covered Round Boxes. Nicely painted blue designs--looks like flying cranes. Late 15th century. Each piece measures approximately 2 7/8” dia. x 1 7/8” tall. All four boxes with lids are in excellent condition. From the Hoi An sale conducted by Butterfield & Butterfield sale date October 11-13 2000. Sale stickers are still attached. During the 15th century, off the Hoi An coast of Vietnam in the South China Sea, a trading vessel filled with porcelain vanished without a trace.
