Description
A unique piece of memorabilia from New Orleans, Louisiana. Outside it appears to be astationery letterhead,
illustrated with a port showing ships and lots of imports/exports (cotton, rice, bananas, coffee.) But inside it
opens up to reveal a small poster, colorfully illustrated showing various New Orleans landmarks - "One of America's principal seaports - gateway to the Panama Canal."
The handwritten letter is addressed to a Miss Mary Griffiths, who had recently visited the city, and is dated 1933.
Tri-fold brochure.
Measures approx. 17" x 10 15/16" when completely unfolded (horizontal poster.)
Toning. Faint edgewear/creases. Some surface tears on back from a scrapbook. Please see scans for details.
