For your consideration is a vintage copy of Old New Orleans published in 1954 by Stanley Clisby Arthur. This is the 11th printing of the revised edition from 1944, running a total of 146 Pages and includes a complete index of articles as well as a map with a walking tour.  It provides an interesting reference for how the city has changed in the last 60+ years.
The author notes that, in his book, many of the facts pertaining to the places of interest differ from the usual information found in other books written about the old building of the original city.  His data was compiled from several hundred authentic sources, "most of them dim words in French and Spanish on rotted paper traced by the crow quills of notaries in those distant times."
