    Description

Vintage Medal Ribbon on the back of the pin part is Maj. A.P. Davis, Pittsburgh, Pa.  The bronze or brass medal part is dated March 8, 1887.  The front of the medal has the letters at the four stations, A L S and SV.  In the center is an Eagle with the words around it: Veneramur ET Succurrimus and Roman Numerals MDCCCLXXXIII.  It measures 2 1/2 inches from the top to bottom.  The medal itself is about 1 1/8 inches across.  The back has the letters ASU on top of each other.  Davis started the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.  A really cool item that is very rare as I have search and can not find another one.  Shipping in the US for .25.  No sale internationally.
