    Description

    For sale a vintage 1899 G.A.R. Celluloid Pinback button from the 34th Grand Reunion Big Rapids Michigan.  (G.A.R. or Grand Army of the Republic) The button has a straight pin on back and features a discolored yellowish background with 2 American flags, images of soldiers in uniform, one with U.S.V. on his collar and lettering that reads: GRAND REUNION 34th G.A.R (on soldier's hats), BIG RAPIDS, MICH. SEPT. 11-12-13-14-15-16, 1899. The back has the original Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, N.J. Patented July17, 1894, April 14, 1896, July 21, 1896 Label in place which is in very good condition.
    The button is in acceptable condition as seen in photos with wear, some missing pieces,  dry cracking, marks etc..  It is delicate and will be packaged with the utmost care when shipped.
